Kelowna Voice Lab is delighted to welcome guest vocal instructor Chad Abrahamson.
Chad has been involved with music all his life in one way or another. He started in a church choir at 9 and performed in a church musical original by the time he was 12. After that musical theater drove his world for years until he started classically training up to and through his years at the University of Manitoba for voice.
Chad graduated last year with a bachelor of music in voice after 6 years. He was taught to speak French Italian and German as well as singing in multiple different forms : Gregorian chant, choirs, classical music as well as musical theater. Chad was a tenor soloist for Handel's Messiah and Monteverdi Vespers, in 3 professional choirs including the tenor soloist for First Presbyterian Church. He studied vocal pedagogy as well as theory. Chad also had the opportunity to train as a conductor and tried my hand at music engineering.
Now, back to his home town of Kelowna, he continues his love of musical theater through his most recent rolls of Frank Abignail Jr in Catch Me If You Can, Quasimodo in Hunchback of Notre Dame and Gabe in Next to Normal.
Chad is available for vocal coaching in January, 2019.
